Turkey Trot Linkup!

Today Holly and Erin are doing a Thanksgiving Linkup called Turkey Trot, so I thought I would trot along with everyone else! Had all the intentions of doing a vlog for it, but forgot this morning and am afraid I will forget before I get home tonight! If I remember I will try to it and upload it tonight!!

1. What do you look forward to more: the food, football or parades?
I look most forward to the food! I am not a big of the turkey but all the sides are wonderful. And I finally have decided that I might just like the sweet potatoes with marshmallows, butter and brown sugar on them!! (I think I just gained 5 lbs thinking about it)

2. What is your favorite non-traditional Thanksgiving Day dish?
I would say that my favorite non-traditional Thanksgiving Day dish is Cherry Delight! I guess that is a non-traditional dish for Thanksgiving! But it is oh so yummy!

3. After dinner, is it football or a nap?
Neither! The hubs get to take the nap and I watch the kids (well kinda watch the kids). We are usually running so much from family to family that we don't get much time to relax whatsoever! The thing I hate most about the holidays and living close to the entire family! But then that is the thing I love most about holidays and living close to family!

4. Do you watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade? Which is your favorite float?
It is usually on in the background but I am not focused on it! I am usually helping cook and only look when Jacer yells "look mommy"!

5. Where do you go to celebrate and eat your big meal? Who is there (family, friends)?
It differs year to year! This year we are going to my Husband's parents' house for lunch (his sister and her hubs and kids will be there and his grandma) and then stopping my his grandparents and my grandma's on the way home and then cooking supper for my parents and sisters' and their boyfriends at our house (it is my baby sister's birthday on the Thanksgiving this year)

6. What is your favorite turkey day dessert?
My favorite turkey day dessert would be a pumpkin roll that my momma makes!! She doesn't make it every year but oh yummy! It is so good! It is pumpkin cake and then a cream cheese filling rolled up and sliced!

Well I hope that everyone enjoys their Thanksgiving Day and checking out everyone who has linked up with Holly and Erin for this Turkey Day Trot!!

This weekend recap that I failed so miserably to do yesterday! It was another busy weekend, but then I still did not get everything accomplished I wanted to.

We went to the school's movie night on Friday night and watched Brave.  The movie was cute and all the kids were well behaved. It went well.  Jacer had a good time.

Then I cleaned my drawers and closet and did laundry all day on Saturday.  It was great to do and made me feel good! I got rid of a lot and also put away all the clothes that do not fit me anymore and went through jeans and dress pants that might fit me now and guess what they did!! Now to decide whether I keep the pants or get rid of them? What do you do? I am so excited about having more than a pair of gray pants and black pants to wear for work now! I even got into these red pants that are almost to big for me now!

I felt pretty hip in the red!!

Jacer has his first basketball games coming up! He will only play 2 games and they are only 30 minutes long but back to back! It will be interesting to say the least!
They scrimmage against the girls (who is who they will be playing) and it was a hot mess on the basketball court! But so dang cute to watch!
 Jacer is in the red!

We had birthday parties and deer camp soup supper to go to! So we ran a lot and I see no time in the future for it to slow down at all!

Weigh in is tomorrow and I dreading it...

I was really hoping to lose 2 this week. But I just don't believe that is going to happen. I ate terrible over the weekend and yesterday!

I had to bake some pies and ate some pie crust that I didn't use and then I ate some of the extra pie I had at home for the hubs!

Eating light today and praying for some kind of loss!
