Weigh In Wednesday, What the World is becoming and January Cara Box

I planned on having this blog up yesterday but I got swamped at work and then my internet at home did not want to cooperate with me.  So I guess I am a day late  dollar short again! I hate that I am not getting post up daily anymore.  Work just keeps dragging me behind but I guess I better be glad to have a job in this economy!!

 I am going to do the weekly link up with Erin and Alex...... (just out their blogs, they rock!!)


I must say that I am glad that I was super excited after this weigh-in and I was like Boo YA!!! to the scale! 
Take that, you ain't got nothing on me!  I was so proud of myself for losing 2.4 lbs!!  

1-30-13 weigh-in

It gave me the motivation for this coming week and to track everything that goes into my mouth! I am a little nervous about Super Bowl food but am going to save all my extra points for WW for that.  

It makes me more determined and that I know that I can do this! I am getting closer to the 140s.  There are so many women out there going through this battle with their weight and confidence!

On another note, there are two blogs that I read daily and have been commenting more (still feel like a stalker to post everytime but getting better and not so worried about it now.  They are just going to have like me and become my new BBF!! LOL!!

One of them is Brandi at who I just happened to come across her blog on Pinterest and was instantly hooked.  She is hilarious, down to earth, joker, says what she wants and doesn't care, and lost 60 lbs. the old fashioned weight (she was an inspiration to me and I was in the same place she was when she started her journey.)  Then there is Megan at who recently changed the blog title to Skinny Meg!! She has lost over 110 lbs the old fashioned way. She is a working mom like Brandi and her house is gorgeous!! I would love for her to come decorate mine.  She is sassy, loves to sweat at the gym! Check out their blogs for inspiration, motivation and workout tips and routines!!

These two women and their blogs (plus other blogs) have helped my continue back on my weight loss journey and since I started reading them in September of 2012, I got back on WW and exercising more and have lost 13 lbs.  for a total of 26 lbs since September 2011.

These two girls are friends, work out buddies in real life and live close to each other.  You can find them on Instagram and they are together a lot which I think is awesome!! I wish I had a workout buddy and helped push me. But anyway, let me get to my point here.....

These two ladies, who let us into their lives daily and do not have to, have been scrutinized and people have been just down right rude to them and it got me thinking about what this world is coming to and how different it is going to be for my boys to grow up in this day of age compared to just 20 -30 years ago to be a child.  

Kids watch the adults they are around and they do what they see.  If those adults are hateful or disrespectful, the child will most likely be the same way.  I am saying this and I know that I am not perfect and have made mistakes but I also try to change what I have done or pretty much not do it again.  

I want my boys to grow up being respectful but at the same time stand up for themselves and not to let people run over them.  Our 5 year old is having a hard time right now listening to us, doing what we ask, he is more whining and we get after him and then he says we are mean.  But I as I explained to him this morning I would rather him think that I am mean and him grow up to be respectful and listen to adults then for him to run all over us and be a trouble maker and someone people do not want to be around.  I know he does not get it but hopefully someday he will.  

I just don't understand why people are so opinionated and instead of politely stating an opinion, they seem to think that their opinion is the correct one then rudely have to announce it.  It makes things harder for the rest of us.  I will say that Mama Laughlin and Skinny Meg have done blog post standing up for themselves but they have done it politely and I would say with grace.  I am glad that they do their blogs and are going to continue to!

On a completely different note, Monkey is now sleeping with his brother every night. So I am thinking that I am going to take the crib down this weekend and be on the look out for a bed for him.  Even though I don't think he will sleep in it cause sleeping with big bro will be way cooler, I am sure! 

The only bad thing is he was up at 2:30 and came to our room!! He slept with us for about an hour and then I put him back in his bro's room!

He is just getting so big.

Catch Up!

I hate that I am so far behind on blogging.
But I have been busy....
Super busy at work and feel like I am behind still from vacay...
Behind at home.... laundry pile I am sure is going to become a mountain in our home
But on the good side of all of this,
I have figured out how to get Monkey to sleep all night and not get up and want to go to the couch every night....
It is put him in bed with his brother.
He sleeps all night
He still gets up at 6 but I will take it
Diet?! Not going well..?

Well this pretty much sums up what I feel like....
I do awesome until Saturdays and then it is all down hill from there..
I need to learn self control and stick to it. 
I so want to get into a size 6 jeans and a size 4 dress would be awesome!!
I just need someone to yell at me and watch my every mood.
With Weight Watchers I have decided that I need to look up the points before I consume it.
Do you know how many points the chicken flat bread at the Olive Garden is?????

The sad thing was I got it thinking it would be better than the pasta and ate the entire thing!!!
I went to the local clothes closet and bought a pair of size 6 jeans and hung them in my room!!
Hopefully it motivates me more!!!
Well I am still behind but need to get my boys to bed!!!

Weigh In and Linking Up!!!


So I have decided to start linking up with Erin (who by the way rocks) and Alex for the dreaded
 Weigh-In Wednesday!

I am hoping that one of these days I do not dread it so much!

Ok, so here it is! I am back to where I was January 2nd, 2013.  But after 8 days gone on vacay and eating what ever I could in my mouth that was delish on the ship and in New Orleans.  I will take it. 

I got use to eating everything and anything I wanted while gone that this past weekend, I did the same. 

Now it is back to SELF-CONTROL!!
I am getting disappointment with myself doing the yo yo!! But I can do this!

I went to the clothes closet here in my town and bought a pair of size 6 jeans to put up in my house for motivation! 

People keep telling me to not look at the scale, go by sizes.

Do they not understand that number means alot to me.  I don't know why but it does! 

It bothers me to extreme that I am still in the 150s. 

I have got to push myself! Start doing more than just the 30 minute workout during lunch.
Quit hitting snooze every morning and going back to sleep.  
I need to get up and walk on the treadmill!
I need to walk again at night after the boys are in bed!
Do this workout every morning:
Do this routine before every shower: 

50 jumping jacks, 

5 pushups, 

20 crunches, 

20 mountain climbers

30 second plank. 

Great Challenge Idea!

I am going to challenge myself to this until February 28th!!!! Anyone in?

I have started watching the Biggest Loser this season and if they can do, I can do it!
They are very inspiring!

Well I better get some more work done!!

P.S. There were so many people in New Orleans and on our cruise that said I had an accent! That just cracks me up due to me thinking they all had an accent!

Short but at least something

So I have been MIA from here for quite some time now! 

Don't have much time but can at least post that the hubs and I had a wonderful vacation! The cruise was great except we each got sick once cause of the rockin'. And New Orleans was wonderful we can't wait to go back!

I will post more pics and some details about it tomorrow!

Also I only gained 3 lbs while on the trip and I think about 2 more since being home! I am working hard right now to get some of that off before weigh in on Wednesday!

So there is some things about me..... Not alot but some.

Hope everyone had a great NYE! We did. I brought it in sleeping on my couch.  We had about 7 friends and their kids over.  But everyone left by 10 and we were sleeping by 10:30.  I sat my alarm for 11:55 to watch the ball drop but opened my eyes and went right back to sleep.  Yeah, we are getting old but hey it was one of the best ones. We both felt awesome the next day and got things done.  

One of those things was not packing for our upcoming vacay. But oh well, we will get it done. 

Also, I have stepped on the scale but not yet today and was up again.  I will post about it tomorrow. But I was back at the GYM today and felt better after it.  Looking to do some time on the treadmill tonight. 



My sister is getting married in September.  I know the challenge ends May 31st, so I am hoping to meet my goal of 20 lbs by then and 10 more lbs gone by September.  

I got this dress for my birthday and it is a medium and is super tight on my butt and legs, so by May 31st, I want to look like this in it. And also, I want to rock this bikini this summer at the Baring Lake....
