So the name goes perfectly with me. I love carrot cake and the homemade cream cheese frosting. My husband and I just celebrated our 8th anniversary yesterday and that is what he wanted a carrot cake. I made him one. Why wouldn't I, very cheap gift if you ask me. Of course though I ate a piece of this delicious cake last night as we were sitting there watching our favorite tv show Sons of Anarchy childless for the night. I told him I better savor every bite since I have begun Weight Watchers again and one piece is like 17 points. So that would be my one and only piece.
As I ate this one piece of carrot cake and yes I enjoyed it so much. I realized that this is my problem with eating I get a bigger piece than I should.
You see I have been going to our new fitness center since it opened, yes I am getting stronger but the scale still says the same. I have been so frustrated. My Jeans I have been in since I had baby #2 August of 2011 are the same ones I am still in. They are loose but the next size down is too tight! I need to really focus on what I am putting in my mouth and that it is sticking to my thighs, buttocks and stomach.
I have found an awesome blog called http://www.mamalaughlin.com today and it inspired me. She is about my age and after child 2 was at weight she did not like. She has lost over 60 lbs and looks fabulous. So today when I went to the gym at noon I started the couch to 5k on the treadmill. I did 1.92 miles in 30 minutes. I am going to work myself up to running all the time just got to make time for myself to do it.
I am determined and ready to get this weight off! I will post pics later for this process!
I've been going to the gym for over a month now, religiously, and I have gained four pounds. Of course I have the people the tell me it's muscle but I disagree. Darin thinks that I'm working out so much that I'm eating more and I would probably have to agree with him. So I'm with ya. I need to watch what goes in my mouth. A moment on the lips is forever on the hips, or not if I have anything to say about it. lol
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean everyone says it is muscle but I would think that if I watched what I ate there would be weight loss on the scales also!
ReplyDeleteYou need to get me motivated too! I need to get back to those 5Ks I use to do and doubt I could make it a whole mile unless something was chasing me with the possibility that if I stopped it would eat me.

DeleteYes!! I really want to do that race! I wanted to this year but I think it was only 4 weeks after Liam was born. I'll put it on the calendar as soon as we figure out the date!

ReplyDeleteIm just throwing this out there idk if u know or not, but u can get a domain name with just .com at the end for only 10 bucks a year since your using blogger, just go to settings and under your website name go to the get domain name.. cheap and will get u more views

DeleteI found your blog today jumping around from other blogs, not sure how I ended up here but it's super cute. I wondered how tall you are. We are about in the same place weight wise. I also read Mama Laughlin for daily inspiration but don't currently blog and I live outside KC with a place in Sunrise Beach for the weekend. Missouri girls rock! I knew my husband in high school but didn't marry him until much later. Big mistake!
